It's important that we have libraries available for everyone and local enough to get to easily and accesible for everyone. My local library was a weekly eye-opener, treat and source of mind-blowing information in my formative years. There are huge amounts of money that can be saved elsewhere in the council (not necc the services) before libraries need to be closed.

I saw the colourful procession leaving Brockley Rise on its way down Stanstead Road towards the offices in Catford. But sadly I saw an older woman with her leaflet and flag walking on her own about 200m behind the main group determined/desparate to catch up with everyone Sad

Would love to know how this event went and the feedeback from the group and the council. There are better ways to save money
