Let's hope the coverage on Radio London and the ITV local news does some good! I couldn't agree more with Michael Rosen in thinking that it'll be the less well-off who will miss out if these library closures go ahead. FHS Michael's vision of libraries of the future solely storing electronic versions of books is pretty depressing. Libraries SHOULD store books (both for reference and to lend out) on that old-fashioned medium: paper. Quite often since Forest Hill library was refurbished I have used Sydenham library, because there books still take precedence over computers!
