Are you going to be treating us to a sonnet or two, Michael?

I wouldn't inflict that on anybody. However, a couple of 23 club regulars and thespians did say they may have a surprise for us on Shakespeare's birthday!

Hey Michael

I'd like to join you guys for my first outing with the SE23ers in April, how do I go about booking my place in? Do I just call the Darthmouth? Or are there any other arrangements?

Peritas,

Yes, call the Dartmouth Arms (8488 3117) and tell them you are with the 23 Club. That way they will know to put tables together for enough people in the 23 Club.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Don't forget to call the Dartmouth Arms this evening if you would like to join what looks like being a very good turn out for the 23 Club at one of SE23's favourite restaurants.

Well the other 13 of us were there. Nice to meet you christianna!

I think all enjoyed the food at the Dartmouth Arms - very good gastropub. But if you missed it, you can come along on 23rd May to Thai Orchard.

In the meantime I hope you will join the Forest Hill Society on the pub crawl through SE23 - more information at http://www.foresthillsociety.com/2009/04...april.html

Brian-what a thespian-you did Shakespeare justice.

So many I didn't get a real opportunity to speak to properly so here's to next time!
To all who didn't-you really are missing out so please come along to Thai Orchard!

Just a reminder that Saturday is 23 Club evening.
If you would like to join us please book directly with the restaurant and mention the 23 Club so that they can sit us together (not that Thai Orchard is so big - so it may well be worth booking for this one).

So no excuses for going to East Dulwich this weekend, come and enjoy a meal with others in their 20s-80s (people outside this age group are also welcome). And for the younger amongst us the bar remains open next door at the Hob until 2am.

See you Saturday.

Okay, I guess everybody was out of town or spending their Saturday night of a bank holiday weekend in East Dulwich (can't really say I blame you).

My wife and I did have a very nice meal with the another couple, who we have got to know from the 23 Club. And the food was nice too!

There are definately a few people booked. I have been having problems making up my mind, but I am fairly certain I will be there, as I do like Try (Tapastry).

This month's 23 Club takes place at the Forest Hill Tavern, 108 Forest Hill Road SE22 0RS, Tel:- 8693-0338. Because the 23rd falls on a Sunday this month, we are making it into a family-friendly, lunchtime event starting at 1pm.

Please make your booking direct with the restaurant, saying you want to be seated with the Forest Hill Society or 23 Club. Everyone orders and pays separately for their meal. Do please book so that the restaurant can arrange the seating in advance - thank you.

----

Look out for the October 23 Club (actually occuring on Saturday 24th October) which is going to be a special event including 23 Club lunch. I recommend putting the date in the family's diary. Details will be revealled in the next couple of weeks.
And no, it's not another Jerk Cookout Laugh
