We have a couple of streetlights on a private road leading to our property. I know that these are not maintained by the council (Lewisham) but when we have needed work done on them before we have been able to get them attended for a reasonable fee.

However I am currently drawing a blank with the lighting department who simply won't look at them this time because they are on private property. Equally it seems that private electricians do not fancy the work.

Is there anyone out there who has had a similar problem and perhaps has a contact in Lewisham (I used to have a guy I spoke to regularly who would help me out but he has gone...) or a private electrician who might do such work?

The lampstandards are not huge, probably about 10 foot or even a bit less.

By the way, my first post here though I read regularly...an excellent source of local information and gossip!
