rather than criticise lenient sentences you can take action and write to the Attorney General and ask him to review the case as an unduly lenient senetence. I agree sentences these days do seem lenient but Judges are under pressure from the government not to send people to prison as our prisons are so overcrowded
this is wholly unacceptable to many law abiding people - we want them out of general circulation so they can't mug/assault/murder/rape again
