[Moved from 'SE23 Topics > Forest Hill Library']

I heard that there a disappointingly few books there.

Reminds me of the library close to my work in Westminster. Also a most wonderful Victorian building (or Edwardian...). The books there are not very interesting - just a couple of pages with words such as brinjal and pakora - but a wonderful snack bar, if alarmingly expensive, it is licensed (but not really a pub) and you see the most famous of public figures there, blowing their vast expense accounts.

BD - blowing very hot, and cold

Presume you are refering to the old library in Great Smith street. A sad, sad loss...
