Hi all

I live in Honor Oak Park and am involved in a charity mission which will see a crew of friends attempt to raise thousands of pounds, and achieve Guinness World Record™ status, for the longest continuous trip in a fire engine - a record never before attempted.

On July 18, the fire engine and crew will embark on a 26,000-mile mission, around the world, covering 28 countries, over nine months.

The expedition is leaving at 12:00pm from The Grand Square at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich - the Prime Meridian of the world.

100% of the money we raise goes to 3 charities - Macmillan Cancer Support, The Fire Fighters Charity and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Myself and the other crew members will be at the Old Royal Naval College from 10am everyone is welcome so if you fancy it please do come and wave us off. Martha, our fire engine is always a BIG hit with the kids especially Smile

Further details are on our website http://www.followthatfireengine.com

Thank you

9 months, 28 countries, over 30,000 miles, a LOT of coffee, some very sore backs AND 100% of money raised goes to charity.

The stage 9 crew are on the final stretch, currently in Spain, and are due to arrive back in London on Sunday having completed an entirely self funded full circumnavigation of the world! The crew have met all the costs of the expedition, including offsetting our carbon emissions, so every penny donated goes to the charities.

We have currently raised £98,000 with only 3 days to go we would love to make it to £100,000 for our 3 fantastic charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Fire Fighters Charity and Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Here's the link if you would like to donate.

It only takes a moment and our charities would be very grateful indeed. Thank you very, very much to everyone who has already supported us it is very much appreciated.

The crew will arrive back at 1pm on this Sunday 10th of April at The Admiral's House, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich SE10 9LW if you would like to be there to welcome them home, everyone is welcome. From 2pm we will be having some celebratory drinks at The Trafalgar Club, Trafalgar Tavern, Park Row, Greenwich
