No u-turn at all as already said. Just clarification of their intentions, which lets be honest would be expected all along.

YES of course there will be a sharp rise in VAT, but then there is a gap to fill from months and months of an almost pointless fall a while back. Let alone a massive blackhole of cash to fill.

Ever unpopular the tories are now the ones charged with the duty of starting to pay back all the over borrowing. So yes, in short we are in for a bloody rough few years.... But nothing compared to some countries.

Im sure many more unpopular things will happen relating to the public and finances, but im sure some positive things will happen too.

Its all about the bigger picture Wink
