Anyone have any idea what is happening on Honor Oak Road tonight?? Lots of activity, road closed, lots of police, been going on for a while!

I've seen a London Buses incident vehicle, which is stopping traffic at Manor Mount and sending any cars down there as a diversion (with police support). There is a big white truck and guys working with chainsaws in the direction of the P4 bus stop. My guess, a tree has fallen in the road and they're having to chop it up to move it and London Buses are involved because it's a route. I didn't see an ambulance though there are more flashing lights beyond my view (in the direction of Tesco) so there might have been one there.

I thought I heard a chainsaw last night around midnight, but I put down to an overactive imagination!

Yup, chainsaws and pneumatic drills going until after 2am. Fell asleep so no idea how late it went on. RAC reported that London Road was affected by an accident on Honor Oak Road but that was cleared and there's no more information.

I spoke to the police last night, massive tree fell onto the road, totally blocking it, no one was hurt, but they obviously had to shift it for the P4!! Went on until about 2.30....
