Actually if anyone is thinking of having a holiday in Iceland I can highly recommend it, especially now as its a bit cheaper. We went about 4 years ago and stayed in the wonderful youth hostel dotted throughout the country. It is such a fantastic place from many perspectives especially of course geologically/geographically with something for all ages/purses/interests etc.

Welcome back KK.

Glad to hear people were in generally good spirits. It's not the flight crews faults and the fact that they were organised and in good spirits is good news (certainly better than most US airlines like UA and AA when there ISN'T a problem who I generally find to be rude and unhelpful).

I'd like to go to Iceland too. I've been to a few volcanos (mostly in El Salvador in Central America) but they weren't active. Even so they were beautiful.
