If anyone is interested in playing rugby we have a thriving club in Dulwich Village based at the Griffin Sports Club, very close to North Dulwich station. We run 2 adult men's teams and the very occaisonal vet's side. I know it's not SE23, but we're very easily reached from Honor Oak Park (P4) or Forest Hill. I live in HOP and it takes about 15 minutes to get there and the P4 runs back to HOP till after midnight on a Saturday, ideal for post match refreshments.

The season is nearly over, but we play touch rugby all through the summer, so if you fancy a run out without the contact then this could be for you, equally you might get the bug and play proper rugby again next season!

We welcome old stagers as well as young recruits, so if it's a while since you dusted off those boots, give it a shot. Also, as a club member you get access to England tickets - maybe not such a pull after this year's 6 nations!

You wouldn't know of any youth schemes? My son is 5 (a large 5, 6 in Nov.) and I am looking for an outlet for his love of tackling people.

Old Alleynian's have a successful youth set up, they're based on the south circular on Dulwich common.

I may be wrong, but I think your son will have to wait until his 6th birthday before he can join.

You may have to deal with the bruises beyojnd then! - I don't think they start tackling until they're about 9 - touch rugby until then (at least, that's how it works in my nephew's club)

@Nickolas there is mixed touch rugby that runs all year around at Tooting Bec Common every Saturday - nearest train/tube Balham. Cost £2 for 2 hours (4 games, no refs). Everyone is very friendly. Search on facebook for "south london touch rugby"

It's nearly winter so time for rugby season!

Join us for pre season training at 7pm every Tuesday and Thursday at The Griffin Sportsground at 12 Dulwich Village (P4 from HOP / Horniman - Dulwich or the train into North Dulwich)

A bit of fitness at the moment, going into some skills based work as we get closer to the season. It's that time of year again, It's the end of July and we've started pre season training.

After a very successful season in 11-12, our first team won the Kent 2 league and have been promoted to Kent 1.

We have moved home and now play at Dulwich Sports Ground (the old LSBU ground) on Turney Road, between Dulwich Village and Herne Hill. We regularly run 2 full men's teams, an occasional vet's XV and we are in the process of starting up a women's XV

Structured training is on Tuesday from 18:30 (for 19:00) with a session on Thursday which we use either for touch rugby or as a specialist skills night, depending on who shows up.

Games take place on Saturday afternoons from September till Easter all around South East London and Kent. Our ground is on Turney Rd in Dulwich (P4 from HOP or Horniman, followed by a short walk - trains to Herne Hill / West or North Dulwich)

4 games into the season and KCHRFC are sitting 5th in the table, our next home game is this Saturday 12th October against Old Gravesendians who lie in 8th, just 1 point behind us.

Early days in the season, but performances have been promising and we have won 2 games on the bounce having missed out on our first two outings.

A while since I bumped this up, so with New Year in mind...

We're all (well, some of us) are making all kinds of resolutions to join gyms, go out and do a bit of running, or just getting a bit more active.

Why not do this in the company of like-minded folk and come and roll around in the mud with King's College Hospital RFC? We're running 2 men's sides and a women's side is slowly taking shape.
