Piplings in Forest Hill remains open, still offering outstanding childcare to local children in a homely environment.

i'm very pleased to hear that Piplings Forest Hill will remain OPEN! Both parties reached a compromise solution earlier this week, and the nursery will stay on Liphook Crescent, albeit with fewer children attending.
Congratulations to Emma, the owner, and I hope that she can now continue to run this outstanding nursery in peaceful surroundings, providing probably the best early years care in the area.

I second that!
I also hope that, at some point in the future, once the current settlement has bedded in to their satisfaction and the nursery proved (again) not to be the disaster they have made it out to be, her neighbours will relent and allow her to open a reasonable number of additional places - if the terms allow.
Congratulations Emma!

What do you mean? Assume if a compromise has been made, the numbers that have been agreed are considered by both sides as 'reasonable', otherwise there wouldnt be an agreement.

Gingernuts: You may well be right, and that would be great. It was only that I seem to remember a rather large discrepancy between what was originally considered "reasonable" by each side at it's current number of places, and ladywotlunches had mentioned fewer children. That was all. If it's all settled, then it's all settled, of course.
