There is a trackside fire that is causing disruption to services this morning. According to http://www.southernrailway.com/your-jour...formation/ some trains do appear to be running.
I got the 176 to Waterloo this morning.

Anybody with information throughout the day, please share it.

By the time I got to FH around 8:25, the tannoy announcements were saying that delays were due to "an earlier fire" - suggesting the fire itself had been dealt with.

The 8:11 had not come through yet (nor been cancelled), but the 8:29 (?) from Streatham Hill appeared only a few minutes behind schedule.

I think the fire was in an arch unit on the 'river' side of the line just 'down' of Southwark Park Road. Police had sealed off one of the roads (Rotherhithe New Road?) on the 'Surrey' side, but the fact that SouthEastern services were much worse affected makes me think it was on the other side. This was on the 0853 from FH. In my office overlooking Platform 1 at LB now and there's still a relative lack of activity on those lines.

It just seems to have been a bad week on the trains generally - today capped it off with signal problems at Charing Cross and broken train at Waterloo East which meant a slow crawl in with the usual absence of information...

Register here and report all disruptions. If more of us do it it will have an impact I think:
