I know that Forest Hill will have some great views of the New Years Eve Central London fireworks, assuming that we have a clear night.

Does anyone know whether you can see the fireworks from the top of One Tree Hill ?

There are probably too many trees on One Tree Hill. Blythe Hill might be a better bet.

What about the Horniman Gardens? Will they be open on New Year's Eve?

I saw them quite clearly last year from the top of One Tree Hill. There is a gap in the trees which gives a view of the London Eye.

You're better off at the top of Canonbie Road- join us there at midnight for a fantastic free view of fireworks across London.

I watched them on TV.

I thought they were fantastic this year.

Sydenham hill near the junction with Sydenham Rise seemed to be a popular spot last night to watch the fireworks. I was just passing through so didn't see them myself but it does have a really good view.
