The above also seems a good source of clear and clinical information. I've also come across stuff that suggests that mercury levels in thimerosol are very low and much lower than we would normally find in an average diet, and much lower than the recommended limit of tuna for pregnant women. The issue appears to be accumulative rather than one off effects. The other issue of course appears to be the WHO guidance that where possible, thimerosol should be avoided in pregnancy, which begs the question why they didn't produce batches of this given the number of pregnant women in the UK.
