While walking past the school this morning with one of my woofs, I saw a number of PC/PCSO's by the school. Just as I stopped for a chat, a call went out, and a mini cab driver found himself being stopped. In what I have to call a very old school, but pleasing way.

Why you ask?
Simple, the IDIOT had decided the lollypop man was not important, and as the car infront of him stopped for the lollypop man, this fool decided to overtake, on the wrong side of the road, risking the lives of kids, parents and the said LLP man.

Within seconds his flight for freedom was over, and he was in the company of a couple of officers.

So well done to everyone who was at Christchurch this morning, bacon sarnies on me next time I see you in the cafe Thumbup

I expect the minicab driver will be parked up on Church Rise about now, throwing his rubbish all over the road.

Good on them, are you able to say which of the reputable firms it was?

Nope I think the lollypop man had no idea it was happening, all happened a bit fast.
Super fast call by the PCSO though Thumbsup

Unfortunatly I didnt see if there was a name of a cab company in the window, just saw the LT licence in the back window.

Fiat Multipla though.
Curious to know myself though, maybe I will find out.

Nice to see it happen though, and witnessed by lots of parents who I hope also appreciated the officers work.

Depends what powers they have that they can exercise. He got a good going over for sure.
I would hope he would get some kind of FPN at a minimum. However it would depend on the status of the driver/vehicle too.

What is FPN.?

You said he would get a going over. Would be good to think so but might infringe his dreaded human rights.

FPN for ignoring a lollypop person is 3 points and ?60. It can be more for driving without due concideration then we are talking ban and ?1000.

Trouble is these sort of people probably banned all ready and ignoring it. Probably not insured but most judges fine less than it would have cost to insure. World has gone mad.

That would indeed be the sort of thing I would hope for minimum.

Brian I agree, people with this level of disregard usually disregard all the other legalities too.
Hopefully it will at least raise alarm bells with the licencing authorities and his employer.

Just seen the same idiot parked up in a side road, space saver on the car, and no doubt working on a wheel that was only designed for getting you out of bother, not earning money on.
