Me and Trev never did reach a conclusion. So I put it to you the people. Who should be the front man for the fantasy greatest band in history? Ireland's greatest son or Gwynneth's favourite hubby?

Janis Joplin? Joan Jett? Tina Turner (60s/70s incarnation)?
And if the Law of the Male Muso doesn't actually require the "greatest band in history" to play stadium rock, then Debbie Harry and Madonna would certainly deserve consideration.
As would Nina Simone, who had enough stage presence to utterly flatten both poll condenders - with plenty left over to deal with several of the other suggestions above....

And what about Barak Obama?
After the Nobel prize for Peace surely he deserved 'Best front man in history' for his inspiring leadership of the USA. So much better than their previous front man.
