Dear Forest Hill residents
The Safer Neighbourhood Team are having two street briefings over the next week. These are your opportunity to come and meet your local police. The first one will be on Sunday 16th August from 1pm to 2pm in Hassocks Close.
The second street briefing will be in Honor Oak Road outside the Honor Oak Christian Fellowship Centre on Wednesday 19th August. We will be there from 1pm to 2pm and from 7pm to 8pm.
It is your chance to meet local police and discuss your local crime and safety concerns.
If you can't attend this event but would still like to meet us, all our events our posted on the Met website at:
http://www.met.police.uk/teams/lewisham/.../index.php
We have one planned every three weeks so far but will be scheduling more.
Kind regards
Forest Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team

Thank you for your question.
Essentially, it is where we hold a surgery in the street where we will be available at the designated times for people to come and talk to us to tell us there concerns around crime and safety in the local area. We leaflet the particular street where we are holding it in advance inviting local residents to come along and speak to us. Its a two-way process - we want to hear your concerns and we can tell you what we are doing in the local area.
I hope that clarifies things a bit.
Regards
Forest Hill SNT

Nice to see the Police are interacting with the local community. Lived in Barnet for a long time prior to moving to SE23, and in the 8 years I was there, nothing like this was ever offered, although it would have been very welcome by residents.

I popped down this lunchtime and had a chat. Apparently they have been hearing a lot about jerk chicken in the last week!
