I have just been looking at the new copy of se23 Living and I was so happy to see that on 08th December there will be a Christmas Fair on the station car park. What a good idea and although it is a small space I find this to be a good location. I normally spend the Christmas period abroad so maybe this happens every year? On the same weekend we will have the Havelock Walk Open Studios. And there are more events during December, it all sounds so promising.

Sounds great. Hopefully all cars will be banned from the car park.
I will support it.

Is this Fair also the time when the tradition of blocking peoples exit from WH Smiths happens ie Santa Claus, tree switching on, and some geezer with a woofer with badly taped carols appears?
The Honor Oak/Linda Barker do is this Saturday, with a fair ( the sort with tables, not rides) starting at 12 noon followed by light switching on and carols. Busy time ahead!

did this happen?? i was down there on saturday and didnt see anything.. I had a lady ask me where it was in the perry vale car park (on my way out from queing up in the rain at the sorting office for a missed parcel).. i suggested it may not be on cos of the rain?
i went to the carols in horniman park on sunday though .. lovely as ever, but no stalls this year.
