Could anybody advise me of the best way to get to Greenwich from SE23 via public transport (bus, train, DLR), please?

I'd get a bus to Lewisham (185, 122, P4) and then jump on the DLR to Cutty Sark.

Probably quicker to get train to LB then train to Greenwich. I guess more expensive though

Wouldn't go via LB personally as takes too long- when we go we catch the P4 to Lewisham then either train to Greenwich or DLR. Alternatively bus to Catford then bus from there but not the most desirable route.

202 will take you to top of Greenwich Park at Blackheath - then it's a nice stroll down the hill through the park to Greenwich.

It does not goes from Catford to Sydenham, could be convenient for you depending on where in SE23 you reside

I've found 202 best route if want to avoid London Bridge. I catch it from Perry Hill, but can get a bus to Catford and change there if from posh side of tracks.

This. I used to travel to Greenwich quite a lot from central FH and found this route (providing you can time the train right) to be much quicker than any bus/DLR combo.

Sorry, I wasn't being pedantic. I just don't know where the 202 stops and wondered where I could catch it from. It was a genuine question!

If you do take the (122) bus to Lewisham you can also catch the 180 from outside the shopping centre to Greenwich, but depending on traffic and connection time this could take about an hour.

Our 171 / 172 to New Cross, then 177.

Took my first trip to Greenwich via the 'train to New X, then the bus' route last weekend. Very handy. Thanks for the recommendation, ontheedge

You can also take the 53 from New Cross Gate which stops outside the southern entrance to the park

P4 to Lewisham, then choice of the DLR or any bus going to Greenwich, Hop of the P4 at Lewisham bus station and the bus stops for Greenwich are a 1min walk, then probably 10 - 15 min bus ride to Greenwich and cheaper with an Oyster card.

Have done the 'bus to lewisham, then DLR' thing, and it did seem to take a long longer.
