With the Sydenham International Music Festival kicking off the cultural season on 24 May and continuing through until 21 June, local residents have another treat to look forward to during the summer and that is the very first Sydenham Arts Festival which starts on 3 July.

Sydenhamites will be spoilt for choice as there are over 50 events happening throughout the 10 days of the festival. Check out the website http://www.sydenhamartsfestival.com and see what's in store - our very own Admin has been working very hard to set this up - thanks, Stuart.

If anyone would like to get involved please call in at Kirkdale Bookshop, the festival HQ, and talk to Jonathan or Geraldine. Volunteers are required to assist behind the scenes and a volunteer's skills form is also available at the bookshop. Sponsors for events are being sought and if you have any spare cash - we'd be pleased to see that, too!

I'm posting this on "Beyond SE23", but as there will be events in Forest Hill and Perry Vale venues throughout the festival, maybe this should be transferred to the main SE23 Forum site?
