The whole point of foundation schools is to control the arrangements for admitting pupils imo. This is the easiest and cheapest way to improve standards.

Any parents from a disadvantaged background are right to be concerned that their children will not be (re)admitted to their local school here.

I'd be interested why Lewisham are in favour of this.
