I can symphasise that they want a school near their home.
Not sure what you mean about Travellers, but by their nature and their name implies they travel so would only be at the school a short period.
I do not know the full facts , maybe the new school will be an improvement , but as I said junior and infants should attend schools in easy walking distance.
