I have heard a rumour from a reliable source that our esteemed Lib Dem councillors are seeking to have the club closed with funding instead poured into Louise House. I would appreciate some confirmation of this either way as I do find this hard to believe. The club has been there a long time and does sterling work.

Not true, we're seeking nothing of the sort.

I heard officers had been asked to investigate moving the youth club facility to the Pools-Louise House site, but it certainly wasn't us pressing for it.

Maybe it was the former Platform 1 facilities they were talking about - the building, I believe, is currently closed as it's not DDA compliant. They were talking about putting the FH Ward Assembly money towards it.

No, it was definitely the Rockbourne Road club, not platform 1. The person in question lives on Rockbourne Road and has been involved with the youth club in the recent past.

Anyway glad to hear that there are no plans to close the club!
