We're about to turn 5 years old. Smile

Our very first thread started on 4th December 2002, enquiring about vacant shops (plus ?a change?) and anticipating the imminent arrival of Blockbuster ...

Any suggestions for marking the occasion?

Hehe...that's really interseting to see Smile I'd quite like to see more "on this day in SE23.com history" in the future.

Perhaps organise a little drinky somewhere for anybody that fancies it.

I think that would be good, but I suspect that there are some people who would be worried about losing their anonymity!!

I'd be up for it.

after some of the things people say to (and about) each other on this forum, would meeting up for a drink be safe??! maybe we should all dress up as smileys.

As well as the drinks, how about something a little more permanent that would encourage more local residents to explore this place and participate?

Maybe we could make an SE23.com smiley badge to wear proudly on the 8:24 to London Bridge, or while we sup our cafe lattes in Lemon Grove?

Any suggestions for the caption?

maybe with some associated hand gestures and dance steps so we could start the dance along the platform at Forest Hill and Honor Oak? It would have the added advantage of making everyone else take a few steps away from us, leaving the way clear to get to the train door first!

Surely it would have to be a smiley!

I tried to put all the smileys in this message, but I got a message:

Please correct the following errors before continuing:
The message you entered contained 26 images, while only 3 images per message are allowed. Please lower the image count in your message to meet the limit.

So, the site is self-policing to prevent over-use of the smiley....

This is wonderful! and congratulations to The Forum -
I am just slightly wondering though, as to why on the main SE23.com site opening page it says "SE23.com has been online since 2003"
If the Forum was here from day one, and it started in Dec 2002, then that is wrong and needs changing ;o)
If not, then where was the forum originally?

Yours annoyingly
(but, I noticed LOL and thinking that the Forum and other part of SE23.com are seperately run? Or not?)

this topic seems to have disappeared from the radar

how about combining this idea with a joint review of All Inn One?

Unfortunately for the Sunday Roast the first Sunday lunch I could make is Dec 16th, but we could do drinks before then? This Sunday evening which is close to the anniversary? Alternatively we could meet on the 4th itself?

Sounds good to me. I could do either the 4th or the 16th at the moment! Any other takers?
