My understanding is that they abandoned the plan to turn it into a lorry park last year, but it would take me a while to trawl the council website to find the appropriate documents.

Brian, I can see your concerns, however cant see what the appropriate rectification would be. Any suggestions?

The whole idea was to allow wheeled things such as buggies and wheel chairs, to pass across swiftly, and not be left at a kerb, stranded in the path of a car.

This has clearly been successful, but now do I understand you are concerned that a car will now choose to drive diagonally across the centre island?

I am a strong believer that there is no such thing as perfection, but given the objectives here, I would say its been a very successful compromise.

My convern is for access by slower pedestrians to the Sorting Office
I have seen cars beep buggies and eldely pedestrians as they obviously believe this is space for cars only. Most of persons collecting from the Sorting Office tend to those without cars so elderly percentage high plus lots of buggies for ladies and children.
I agree for people walking along Perry Vale vast improvement , credit where it is due. Side issue yjet see to have left the old seat high and dry. Guess would be unsafe to sit on.
I accept separate pedestrian entrance would not be cheap. Could they not have made one ramp pedestrian and one for cars with give way signs or lights.
I guess not much we can do now and let us pray no pedestrians hurt.
