Either is possible, though landscape is probably best for displaying at full size as it matches screen dimensions.

admin, assuming everyone thinks this is still a goer, and considering only RobW has posted one of his great pics...can we do as you suggested and allow multiple entries per person now

those old pictures are fascinating ..
especially the ones taken right outside my flats ... i doubt you could take a one hundred years later pic in the same position (more traffic to dodge than a couple of horse drawn carriages, a bike and a tram )

Could I suggest we use the pic RobW submitted as our welcome picture?

Does anyone else have an alternative preference?

Seems we have a lot of competent photographers in SE23!
Do you think it worthwhile publicly displaying some of the fine artwork in some local restaurants and pubs, or even to hold an annual competition/exhibition? Perhaps something that the Forest Hill Society could look into? There is already an annual art exhibition run by the Friends of the Horniman.

thanks all!
I hope to come up with something new soon, maybe something for the Spring? Maybe we could run this again in the next couple of months - I'm sure I am not the only photographer around here - did Santa not bring cameras to anyone else here?
I like Roz's suggestion. Maybe we could start it off with a small gallery of Forest Hill photos on this site, even without running a competition? Maybe it could be a photo of the month/season sort of thing?

Voyager, it's all down to who submits a pic, and then we vote if there's more than one to choose from. Have you got any of honor oak we can look at?

I miss RobW's two pictures on the home page. Can't we have them back? It's looking a little scrappy these days...

It's on my to-do list. It was a slip of the keyboard that saved the Features page as a duplicate welcome page and I haven't had time to rectify it yet.
