I have to say its nice to see warm weather encouraging locals to party and socialise. Great seeing people enjoying themselves at the weekend....
Yup here it comes..... BUT!
Its almost 1am now and I can still hear it all loud and clear, from inside my house with the windows closed!
Just glad I'm not working tomorrow.

No mate, can't say I did.
Wasn't keeping me awake as such, just thought it was a bit selfish of them.
Besides, its more an EH issue than one for the police.
If anyone who uses the forum was there....... Thanks

Cant help but wonder how the neighbours who lived closer to the said party felt at 2am when it was still going on this morning though.

We're quite often kept awake by people in the ground floor flat where I love. The Police won't do anything. Call Lewisham Council - they have a noise department (which is only open til 3am) and they come along and tell the people to be quiet. And then after the noise patrol leave, they turn the music up again.

In that case are LBC performing their legal duty to their law abiding citizens.

Having worked with a noise team in the past, if you are having continual problems with the same neighbour, they should be serving them a notice on the second visit, and considering confiscation of the equipment if a third visit is required.
There are all sorts of genuine reason for "excusable" noises at unreasonable times, but playing music or having a party with rowdy guests are not on my list.

Yes I agree. If your neighbour can hear it is too loud.

Turn up at their door and ask if you can join the party.

Just to clarify, im not against people having a good time. But when we walked the dogs at about 6pm the party was in full swing.
Showing just a little respect, you would have hoped the noisy stuff would have been over by 12.
As for knocking on the door and joining in... I had had a long day, otherwise I might have lol

snazy you have my sympathy.
i live in a small block and my neighbours what can i say ????
nah would break the rules of the board if i post that.
as for lewisham noise well forget it ,
2 years i had to put up with the young and not working yobs having party after party, i once called them out 4 times in one night.
each time they come round they just said turn it down ( 2.30am )
when i did at last get them to serve a notice on that flat it made no difference what so ever.
come 3am your just told by the switch board they are off duty now !
fat lot of use that is when your still wide awake thanks to you neighbours.
now i just have next doors wonderful 6 year old bratt kicking a football round inside next door that bounce's off my bedroom walls
its great living in lewisham don't you think ?
no one these days cares less for the people next door or above and below you for that matter.

Eddy thats shocking mate, their powers go much further than that, and the fact they are not bothering is VERY disappointing.
Working with Westminster, they used to take it very seriously, and many times within 3-4 hours in one evening, we would make the initial visit, the notice serving visit, and then pop to a magistrates house, get a warrant signed and seize the equipment used to make the noise.
Sadly it also says a lot about todays society and how we regard one another. Very sad state of affairs I must say.
Hope your nightmare does not continue too long.
Consider writing to the mayors office or other senior officials if it does not get sorted.
