think dratmouth road is going to be closed again for a while.
i saw a big big hole in the road that the workmen have dug out today.
if you get a bus that goes down dartmouth road from kirkdale to the station you should think about leaving extra time as they are not going down the road at the moment.

came nose to nose with a car that went sailing past the no entry sign today, i was right they were in the wrong, made them back all the way back up again to the bottom of derby hill as i was not going to move for anyone Blink

Im a DR resident and i cant believe the number of people who just drive past that no entry sign! I understand more than anyone that its an inconvenience and its downb right dangerous to play chicken with the traffic shooting up the road. Saw one more get out of his car and be very threeatening to someone who was simply driving the right way on the road!

I do wonder whether with all of this water main work and disprution, there will be some attempt to improve the road and pavement surfaces? There are a few areas on the question side which have subsided slightly with the various leaks weve had over the past four weeks.

While they're at it, why not make Dartmouth Road permanently one way - except for a scheme for buses and maybe residents - widen the pavements and make the whole stretch more pleasant.

Even better Forrester make Darmouth Rd to the library pedestrian only.
Think of the lovely street cafes etc. Possibly retain route for buses only.
Think of the cafe culture at The Bird in The Hand. Latte's all round
