Reported on EDF,

"And to add to the misery in the area,

Dartmouth Rd will be closed from 30th of June. Till 17th of July.

Not that anyone believes in the end date."

If it's closed northbound only, we may have the 122, 176 and 185 towards Kirkdale but diverted up Kirkdale and Sydenham Hill in the other direction avoiding the town centre.

Why would the 185 be diverted?

I hope they mean that it will run oneway northbound, that is towards London Road rather than the other way. If it is the other way, you're bound to have a few drivers arriving at the one way section not having read the diversion signs. Smaller vehicles could go round Derby Hill when that isn't closed, or do a three-point. Anything big would have either to go the wrong way down the one way or reverse out.

I tried the email adddress on the works list to find out, but it wouldn't work for me.

Diversion signs for the 122 have gone up in Dulwich, so it looks like buses towards Plumstead will be diverted along Kirkdale. Sydenham Hill, Lordship Lane, Friern Road, Etherow Street, Barry Road, Lordship Lane, London Road to line of route rather than turn right into Sydenham Rise and London Road. They've done this before.

However there are temporary lights at the Dulwich Library crossroads due to Thames Water work on the corner of Barry Road and Lordship Lane and there are also more Thames Water works on Waldram Crescent, so the 122 (along with the 185 and 356) will be disrupted tomorrow.

Routes 176 and 197 are already on diversion between Cobbs Corner and the bottom of Crystal Palace Park Road via Westwood Hill due to a sinkhole caused by guess who...? Thames Water!

We now have confirmation of the diversion routes from TfL and it's the opposite way around.

Quote:
DARTMOUTH ROAD, SE23: From 08:00 Monday 30 June until 22:00 Thursday 17 July, ROUTES 176 197 towards Penge or East Croydon are on diversion via Kirkdale & Sydenham Hill.

DARTMOUTH ROAD, SE23: From 08:00 Monday 30 June until 22:00 Thursday 17 July, ROUTE 122 towards Crystal Palace is on diversion via London Road, Lordship Lane, Friern Road, Etherow Street, Barry Road, Lordship Lane, London Road, Sydenham Hill and Kirkdale due to electrical maintenance works taking place. Buses will not serve stops from 'Forest Hill Pools' to 'Sydenham School' (P).

So basically buses will serve Forest Hill in the northbound direction along Dartmouth Road, but not towards Sydenham.
