Thank-you!
I emailed Ellie's office when service was first cut but I think the more pressure from those on high the better.
Thanks for being on the case with the dreaded leak too...
And to the two blokes in a white Van who deliberately swerved closer to the kerb and soaked me in spray as I was heading to work this morning Then stuck his head laughing out the window...
I hope you get dog poo on your shoes on the way to a hot date !

Sadly the dreaded London Road leak is still running and the puddles are growing. With heavy rain and winds forecast for this evening I imagine tomorrow will be fun!

Apparently L&Q have been working with Thames Water to resolve the leak. They have had to locate the mains valve and will be sending their drainage team this week to resolve the leak... I'm hoping this will mean it is sorted!

Hello Billy,
Just wanted to get your attention that there has been a company doing some kind of telecoms work (fibre-optic broadband maybe??)on Taymount Rise since early last week.
This has meant that large blocks of one of the footpaths are completely inaccessible due to barriers placed around the areas being worked on.
This has meant that many residents on Taymount rise find themselves walking up and down the road to get to their homes.
With the nights getting darker earlier this feels pretty dangerous.
No work appears to have been done by the contractors over the past 3 days at least.
There are many elderly residents that shouldn't have to find themselves walking in the path of oncoming traffic.
I wonder if you could chase the contractors over this..
Thank-you.

It is a bit annoying. Of course the wider issue is the fact the council allows cars to park on both sides of the road with two wheels up on the pavement - meaning that pavement space is already inadequate and unsafe for pedestrians on Taymount Rise.

Hi nottinghillbilly - I will raise this with our highways team. Do you know who the contractors are or who the company is?

I'm sorry I dont..
they do have a board on the barrier saying work was due to be finished on 14th but the barriers are still there blocking the pavement and I was off work yesterday and once more saw no work being done.
I believe its a fiber optic broadband supplier..But its not BT or Virgin
it was a name I didn't recognise..
Next time I go out I'll see if I can spot a company name but there's nothing obvious.
It all looks pretty amateur to be honest

Hello. Please know there is a significant number of us not in favour of parking permits. I feel like it’s a done deal. But it will adversely effect local business. There are other ways to get funding for your environmental plans. Given we already pay a lot in council tax and our roads aren’t very safe for cycling and public transport is often up the blink this is a very unfortunate plan for our Borough.
