Hi all,
Whilst waiting for the train this morning, I wondered what sort of things could help make SE23 a destination area.
Has the idea of possibly having a sunday Arts & Crafts market in the Perry Vale car park ever been proposed?
With the resident artists in Havelock Walk, and our media type neighbours from SE22, surely there maybe a market for this?

I think there was a market there one weekend, a couple of months ago. It wasn't very well advertised. Not sure how successful it was. It's a great a idea, though, I think.

I agree. A regular craft market would be a draw if it was proprerly promoted and run.

Yes, I'm sure there was one that was not very well advertised at all. I missed it but heard about it after the fact.
It would be nice to have something, but I doubt we'd manage a regular one, but an occasional (monthly? quarterly?) event could be fun. It would not have to be restricted to local business though, that would be rather limiting and we do have the twice-yearly Havelock Walk open studios already, and I'm not sure quite how much business it generates on its own.
