Apparently The Dewaniam on Wastdale Road is closing its doors tomorrow (21 August).

I'll be sad to see this Indian takeaway close; it had been my go to restaurant for a while now.
Apparently the owner wants to reopen it as a Chinese - different chefs 😉

So sad. We’ve been using it since they first opened in around 1980. I know there’s been issues getting chefs in recent years because of the change in immigration laws but hopefully they will be able to maintain a business presence locally in future.
