Who is paying for your new proposal of removing the parking spaces and widening the drop kerb? Silly attempts at point scoring is not improving the FHsoc public relations image when people are offering sensible alternatives that are ignored but as soon as you think it's the same as your proposal it's great.

There have been sensible points made on here today in a constructive manner and then...

First of all, nobody is trapped - that sounds a bit sensationalist to be honest. They were delayed, the same way cars are delayed down residential side streets because there's parking on both sides and the bin lorry takes up the whole middle of the road.

Secondly we've made a proposal to remove those parking spaces widen the entrance and exit based on listening to feedback that was provided as part of the trial.

Thirdly, if the proposal were to be implemented, (and the council removed the defunct toilet) then there would be plenty of space for the bin lorry to be out of the way - even as your photo shows, you'd be able to exit AND enter passing the bin lorry without those cars parked there.

Yes without planters as you say, they could exit the old way too, but as shown with the existing layout, no-one could enter at all which causes the delays and backups onto the SCirc that everyone has commented on.

So yes indeed, our proposal seems to make sense to even alleviate exiting issues that you've raised here, so this is great feedback. Thanks.

You are full of excuses.

I suggest you NOW step aside and let someone else who isn't tarnished, take over as Chairman of the FHSoc, so it stands some chance of regaining its credibility following the damage you have single handily done to it.

To thrive the FHSoc needs the support of residents and businesses based in and around Forest Hill. Do the right thing before you make things substantially worse, because you do not appear to understand or comprehend the meaning of the word COMPRAMISE.

Rofl

All station users will all be aware the planters were moved several weeks ago, no explanation given, no indication if this was permanent.

I noticed today the toilet has been barricaded off and some sort of work has started. Is this the second phase of car park alterations and the exit will again be blocked when the toilet is removed?

From my earlier comment: "As for the toilet, we have commented that this is an issue for the Council and Network Rail and is not part of the trial."

I fully support the improvements (my opinion) to the area immediately outside the station. Its also great to hear from some passionate locals Rofl

And is the removal of the planters temporary or permanent?
