I think there will be four Sundays without trains when the embankment by Lawrie Park Road is shored up.

Monday 9th-Friday 13th May.

Engineering work is taking place overnight in the Streatham Hill area, closing some lines.

The 23:58 London Bridge to Streatham Hill will not run. A replacement bus will run, calling at New Cross Gate, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Crystal Palace, Gipsy Hill and West Norwood.

This doesn't affect the East Croydon Southern services which will operate as normal until close of service, nor London Overground services to West Croydon and Crystal Palace.

Saturday 14th May:

Normal service on Southern and London Overground. This will also be the last day of the all day Saturday Victoria service as timetable changes will see that service end.

Sunday 15th May.

SOUTHERN: No service, a replacement bus service will operate between New Cross Gate and West Croydon calling at all stations except Penge West and will additionally call at Selhurst for connections to East Croydon.

LONDON OVERGROUND: No service between New Cross Gate and West Croydon/Crystal Palace. Use the Southern replacement buses instead.

A normal service this weekend on Southern and London Overground.

It's worth reminding that the Elizabeth line will open next Tuesday 24th April. This will enable faster journeys from our stations to the City, West End, Paddington, Custom House, Woolwich and Abbey Wood by changing at Whitechapel rather than Canada Water or Shadwell (and London Bridge mainline for Woolwich Arsenal and Abbey Wood). For example Paddington to Tottenham Court Road will only take 4 mins.

Trains will operate every 5 mins from 0630-2300 Monday to Saturday and on Sunday 5th June for the Platinum Jubilee from 0800-2200.

Bond Street will remain closed on the Elizabeth line until at least September, so you'll have to use the Jubilee line for the moment.

If you wish to use the other parts of the Elizabeth line, such as to Heathrow, Reading or Shenfield, you need to change at either Paddington or Liverpool Street for the mainline station, but they're expected to run through the tunnels later this year.

London Overground staff are currently being balloted for strike action over latest pay deal, so expect there to be some disruption in the near future. Arriva Rail London aren't offering anything near RPI so company is in dispute. If so, will be first time London Overground drivers have been on strike since the beginning of London Overground.

Heads up for the long Platinum Jubilee weekend from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June.

A Saturday service will be in operation from Thursday to Saturday on both Southern and London Overground. (East Croydon trains will be extended to Coulsdon Town) with a normal Sunday service on the Sunday.

The Elizabeth line will also be operating throughout that weekend including Sunday.

Apologies if you read this thread and thought Southern were running into London Bridge at the weekend. Southern for some reason decided to divert Victoria services which weren't mentioned on the engineering works page of the Southern website at the time I checked.

(Thanks to ChrisR, the SE23.life rail expert who DM'ed me).

A normal service this weekend, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May on Southern and London Overground.

A reminder if you're planning to check out the Elizabeth line this weekend, it is operating on Saturday, but is closed on Sunday to enable tests. It will be open however as a one-off all weekend for the Platinum Jubilee.

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June.

LONDON OVERGROUND: No service between Sydenham & West Croydon. All services will operate between Crystal Palace and Highbury & Islington.

SOUTHERN: Normal service over the weekend, but note there is no train service to West Croydon from Norwood Junction. A replacement bus service will operate from there if you wish to travel onwards towards Sutton.

Passengers for Croydon will have to board the half hourly Southern service to Coulsdon Town (Saturday) or Caterham & Tattenham Corner (Sunday) which calls at East Croydon.

Saturday 25th June.

SOUTHERN: No service due to industrial action and planned engineering work.

London Overground: Four trains per hour between Highbury & Islington and Crystal Palace. No trains to West Croydon due to engineering work. Last train from Canada Water to HOP/Forest Hill is at 1753. The service may well be reduced to two trains per hour which has been the pattern over the strike week.

Sunday 26th June:

SOUTHERN: No service due to the closure of the line south of Sydenham.

London Overground: Normal Sunday service, however West Croydon services are diverted to Crystal Palace.

It's quite likely that it will reduce to 2tph to Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace and New Cross services were reduced due to the signaller who was brought in to operate the ELL signal box over the strikes was 'overworked'. They only had 4 hours training on the panel and were causing so many issues and problems on Tuesday that ARL control decided to cut the service to avoid further mess. That's why on Tuesday ELL was suspended then brought back with reduced service. The people brought in to cover for the ELL signallers on strike couldn't do the job effectively. Make of that as you will. So expect the same on Saturday.

I'm working this weekend so I'm bracing myself for another day of torturous travel.... 2 buses and 2 hour journey to get home this evening, a 30 min wait for an overground this morning-it felt almost easy after Tuesday with no trains whatsoever on Jubilee or Overground.
