great - 22nd it is then, I am easy re time, later night be better to avoid the lunchtime rush...
I guess we will be easy to spot (ie half of us will have bumps!) but maybe we should try and reserve a space so we can find each other easier?

I can't make 22nd, but just wanted to register interest in this in principle in case there's another meet. I'm not due until August so am not nearly as far along as any of you, but it still feels rather soon! and I am keen to meet other new and prospective parents living locally.

Well, I am a Mum (already) and was in the same place as you are now exactly 10 months ago! I have responded to a similar thread posted by now a very good friend of mine, who was also expecting her little one at the time. And there were only TWO of us! I am so impressed you've got a sizable group going! Just wanted to say - if anyone needs any advice/help with breastfeeding, babywearing, etc etc - I'd do my best to help! We had a very successfull home birth, so if anyone is contemplating that - I'd be happy to give pointers/share our experience! Also, I'd be happy to introduce you to our favourite local baby-friendly places!
xx

Hello all
We're due to have our first baby at the end of June so am delighted to see all these posts! We'd love to meet up with other new/parents to be locally. Fraid we won't be around over the Easter weekend, but can you keep us in mind for anything else?
Thanks a lot & good luck to everyone!
Charlotte & Mike

Hi All
I have taken the liberty of posting this event on the 'calendar' bit of this forum (hope that's ok ruthb). I am not sure if many people look at the calendar (top right corner of the web page!), but it might be nice if it was used a bit more.

Hi there,
I am also due at the end of June and would love to come along to the meet up. Am having a home birth, so would really appreciate the advice Maria, if on offer. Sat 22nd should be ok. Did everyone agree with 5pm?

Still on for the 22nd I believe. I think CJS said that they could not be there until 5, but to be honest that is a little late for us as we need to feed our 3 year old her dinner.
Can I suggest that we start a little earlier and hope to hang around for a bit so if some of us rush off around 5:15 we can all have met at least? How about starting to gather around 4 instead?

4pm perfect with us - looking forward to meeting everyone! should I enquire with the pub about having a few tables and chairs set aside for us?

Hi There
We live in Honor Oak and are expecting our first baby 12 May and are very interested in meeting up - We can possibly make 22nd, depending on when our visitors leave!
Hope to see you there.

I think that will be fine as a starting point and, as you say, we can always grab a few more chairs if we need them...

Excellent, thanks for organising the table, my wife Natasha and I will see you all there around 4pm. I've also invited another couple from our NCT class, they live in HOP as well and are expecting the week after us in mid April.
Mandymoo, we are going for a home birth too, so we can have a chat.

Great, really looking forward to it and thanks to all for making it as late as hungry little people will allow. CJS

We are definitely still on, 4pm is perfect for us (2 adults and 1 toddler). Mandymoo and KK - we have our second home birth planned for mid-April, happy to chat!

We're due our first at the end of August. It seems a long way off so maybe we can organise another get together later in the "summer" for anyone unable to make the easter meet up.
