as a relative newcomer to FH, I'm really enthusiastic about its future, but just out interest....when did it all go wrong last time round?
The Deli moved to CP to a bigger shop.
The other supermarkets were in bad locations and didn't survive.
(Happy Clappy church opp The Hob and Paddy Power next to P.O.)
The Grocer's I think retired? They were a old couple.
(Estate Agents now, next to Cummin' Up)
The Bakers (I remember now, there were two) Greggs on the corner of Havelock Walk (now a Loan Shop) and an Independent baker near to the Bird in Hand. (empty shop next to the Off License on Dartmouth Rd)
I guess cheap bread from the big supermarkets killed them off?
The Auction Room land was sold and built on (behind Blockbusters)
Trendy Nik-Nak shop's one where Blockbusters is now, the other in St.David's Rd. The small private club was there also.
Wood Yard (Retired) Back of the station.
FH went wrong "Big time" around the time of the last recession.
