Travelodge switched their business choice from the 65 bedroom proposal for the All Inn One site in Forest Hill to the 85 bedroom option on the Co-operative site on the South Circular.
Have they now withdrawn for a second time from a Forest Hill site and this Lewisham site is their new preferred choice ?
What is to happen to the Co-op site's hotel development permission if Travelodge have withdrawn and there is now no incumbent hotel operator in place as required by that permission. ?
Kevin Clark, director of land and business development at Skillcrown, said: “We are pleased to have secured planning permission to deliver this scheme to such a prominent area of Lewisham.
"Skillcrown has a successful relationship with Travelodge following the development of a 92-room hotel in Bromley and we have no doubt, Lewisham will be equally as successful”.
Perhaps someone needs to alert him to Travelodges's Forest Hill option.
Frankly it looks a poor choice when compared with both Forest Hill options - the Morley Road site is much too far from the DLR station when compared with the proximities of both Forest Hill sites to Forest Hill Station.
