It is reported in Newsshopper that the cost of the sudden departure last year of Ian Thomas, the Chief Executive could amount to £100,000. The cost of his recruitment had been in the region of £33,000.

It is further reported that Daniel Eagan who had been elected as Mayor had found it difficult to work with Mr.Thomas. The Chief Executive's salary is reported as having been £185,000.

Clearly as Council Tax payers we are the ones who will have to pay for the inability of the council's staff to effectively work together.

HOW is anyone worth £185,000 per annum particularly when you are working in public office, and earn far more with less responsibility than the Prime Minister who earns significantly less?

I dread to think what other council officials salaries are, which we all pay for. In my opinion their should be a review of council salaries and all MUST be reduced.
