Keys, cards and money were stolen from my locker in Forest Hill Pools this afternoon. The thief managed to pull out my small rucksack from a gap in the locker even though the door was padlocked.

Yep! You have to provide your own padlock for the locker and unfortunately the one we had was not totally compatible so there was a gap. There was nothing bulky in the cloth bag so they could drag it through the gap I now realise......

Several social media posts have warned that valuables are being stolen from lockers in Forest Hill Pools on Dartmouth Road and councillors have now taken note.

Councillor Leo Gibbons has offered to write to Fusion, who manage the leisure centre, and has asked people to contact him with concerns.

He also said he visited the operations manager who said they are “taking things very seriously” and will look to improve security.

Councillor Peter Bernards has also said he hopes police have been informed about the spate of thefts.

One man reportedly had his car keys snatched from his locker before his car was taken.
