Aldi to take over the former Toys R Us store at Bell Green

Well if this is true then that Aldi are taking the former Toys R Us building at Bell Green, that is great news, a shot in the arm for all those who opposed the original plans for Aldi and finally and best of all, will provide much more choice and even better, competition with Sainsburys. Rejoice!!!!!

Proposal: Change of Use of the vacant 'Toys R Us' (A1 Use Class Non-Food) to an Aldi (A1 Use Class Food) with alterations to the front and side elevations and the erection of a delivery pod to the rear, together with other ancillary alterations at units 1 and 2 Bell Green Retail Park, SE26.

Yay. More traffic and pollution and even higher levels in the playground of the nearby school than those which already breach safety limits. Bloody NIMBY kids and their lungs.
