There has been a wholesale gutting of the former Dewaniam Indian restaurant on Stanstead Road. Anyone know what it is about? And is it related to the notices in the windows of Elachi Indian restaurant (sorry, I couldn't read them from the bus)?

The two are linked. Elachi is moving to the old Dewaniam (at least that's what the piece of paper says!)

Positive move, and good to see the old Dewaniam site finally being put to use. Looked terrible in the middle of the row of shops for so long now.

Lets hope the positive vibe carries on down the road, and that the shops on Brockley Rise are next to get some life breathed back into them. I see the old motorbike shop is rebranded already, and work on the old restaurant continues.
