I see the fish and chip shop just down from honor oak park station has closed. I believe that it is reopening as, yep you guessed it a dominos pizza. So much for helping with the obesity crisis.

I am partial to a Domino's from time to time, so will be nice, from my perspective at least to have somewhere nearer by to collect from.

Not sure fish and chips is any better for the waist line than pizza so a weight neutral swap?

Yup, pretty much. As for the new rules about food places to tackle obesity, it would not count here as the premises already has the correct permissions to sell food.

Costa are in Penge, so no reason why they won't do well in FH.

Apart from the other local pizza dispensaries, possibly. SE23 does seem to be very well stocked for pizzas.

That’s an interesting take on the meeting, hillview, which seems very different to what’s been noted elsewhere.

I noticed all your other posts seem to be copied from the other, more popular, SE23 forum, yet you seem to have misread opinion on Dominos in HOP.

Out of curiosity, do you and Snazy live in HOP?

Dominos now open ...

Quote:
One of the largest pizza chains in the world has now opened in Honor Oak Park after a tense council meeting in August.

Domino's began trading their today (October 22) and to celebrate they are offering to deliver any size pizzas for £8.99.

Stefan Loredana, Store Manager at Honor Oak Domino’s, added: "We’re thrilled to be opening our doors to the people of Honor Oak.

"There’s also plenty of employment opportunity for people living in Honor Oak, so we look forward to welcoming local pizza superstars to join our growing team.

"In particular we’re searching for delivery drivers, who can provide exceptional customer service, and demonstrate integrity, honesty and reliability, as well as being pepperoni passionate for freshly made pizza."

Some objections were raised before Domino's replaced a fish and chip at 56 Honor Oak Park.

Businesses and residents described being left frustrated at not being consulted about the change of hands.

At a council meeting in August, one resident shouted “why have you even invited us here if you already granted something” before being warned by security.
