If your free this Sunday 20th at 6pm. SING are performing evensong at st Augustine's one tree hill. Its more a service than a concert but its free entry so why not give it a go. Refreshments will be available in the parish rooms afterwards. While your there why not take the opportunity to stroll around one tree hill. If you are unaware, the path up to the church has been freshly resurfaced and the steps going up to the top of the hill and down to main road have been replaced and the walkways resurfaced. I believe there are also some new nature trails from the top of the hill but not 100% sure.

Attendance at our regular coffee mornings has been dropping off a little of late so we thought we would give it a bit of a relaunch.

St Augustines one tree hill run a coffee morning every Wednesday between 11 and 1. Tea, coffee and at least 2 sometimes 3 or 4 different cakes are available and recently we have extended our range to savouries which may include sausage rolls, cheese straws and cheese scones. All of these are homemade by our regular team of bakers who don't take anything for their time or ingredients. This means that every penny taken is split equally between the church and St Christophers Hospice.

In addition there is normally an art exhibition in residence in the recently redecorated parish rooms. Currently this features works by Mike and Gabby Bradshaw which was recently on show at theJenny Avent Gallery on North Cross Road as part of the recent south east London art exhibition.

If your a musician or singer and would like to practice during this time the main part of the church with its wonderful acoustics is available as well as a piano and the church organ. Just let us know in advance to avoid double bookings.

All welcome. Young, old, babies, dogs.

Give it a go. Prices are more than reasonable.Smile
