Wetherspoons would love to have somebody else take over the lease but due to :-

- Grade 2 listed building status making internal changes difficult,

- high fixed lease and council taxes putting off prospective buyers,

none of the organisations who have been interested have gone ahead.

Which probably means it will stay with Wetherspoons until their lease expires, not sure exactly but I think it may be 2025?

I, for one, am very happy it is still operating as a Wetherspoons pub.
