Has Stelios bought Croydon?

Seriously, they are planning to build two additional platforms at East Croydon. Presumably they actually plan to have more trains to and from East Croydon. This might have something to do with the Westfield Hammerson Shopping Centre development.

It's a bizarre situation. Even a Conservative Government does not plan to put the East Coast Line out to tender!
