With our first fortnightly rubbish collection due tomorrow I’d be interested to know how everyone else is getting on with their waste.

Our recycling bin was generally full or close to full before the change, so we already recycle pretty much everything that we can. The food waste part of our general rubbish can now be put in the small grey bin, but that doesn’t account for much of the black bin’s contents. With a young baby in the house producing maybe 8-10 nappies a day we are certainly struggling to fit everything in the black bin with the fortnightly collections.

Judging by the number of black bags that I saw piled on top of the public litter bins in Manor Mount this morning I suspect that we’re not the only ones having capacity problems!
