Clearly they are making an assumption which is well, quite simply WRONG!!

I thought the idea was to reduce the amount of waste that went to landfill, but Lewisham is different from most other local authorities as an extremely high proportion of waste is incinerated at the plant in New Cross.

And what happens to the bin men who will have collected the bins on a weekly basis, will they now only work for two weeks in every four?

So will residents comply and use the food waste bins or continue to lob it all in the black refuse bins??

And how about the additional pollution that will result from having the additional weekly food waste bin collections?
