I am confused. I received a letter from Thames Water saying water meters would be installed in my road. But letters had already been sent to houses this applies to. I don't think it applies to me because I already have a water meter. Yesterday someone put a note through my door saying they want to arrange to fit a water meter.
Can anyone explain what is going on, please?

Please send them round to my house. I have a lettter telling me they will fit a compulsory (apparently no choice - but I want want anyway) water meter by the end of May.

I'm still waiting. We see the odd Thames Water van around, have had our pavement water stop valve cover painted white - but no further action.

Walking along Westwood Park (Tewkesbury Lodge Estate - behind Hornimans Museum) I spotted 2 Thames Water trucks and several blue plastic pavement barriers. I spoke to a man digging a hole and he confirmed that fitting of meters was going on.
