Looking to move to the FH area east of the tracks around Kilmorie, Cranston, Como Rd etc and wondered how safe the walk from the station on an evening felt?

You might see from some other posts that there have been a couple of muggings (not a large number, but enough) around the alleyway between Sunderland Rd and the top of Trilby Road. You'd probably want to be careful walking alone along this unsighted alleyway after dark (the problem is you can't see what is at the end) and then you can do as we/others do and stick to the south circular/Stanstead Road approach (or go along Perry Vale) - depending on where you are it is probably a couple of minutes extra. We're in the same area. I walk home from the station most nights and it isn't a problem.

Absolutely fine, walk it most Saturday nights in the early hours and it's completely fine.

It's a walk I do from time to time and never had any problems.

That's my regular walk home from work, and I'm often rather late. There are usually quite a few people around (many doing the same walk!) along Perry Vale.

I was walking down Perry Vale at about 11:45 on a Thursday a couple of weeks back when a silver Vauxhall Nova with four black kids in it pulled up along side and some kid threw a tennis ball at my head before laughing and driving down the road and doing the same to a girl walking ahead of me. He missed both times.

Apart from that I've never had any other trouble.

I've lived here a few months and never had any trouble. After about 10 it's always really quiet which is nice and very different from where I used to live in north London.
